Clinical supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists
I offer an inclusive counselling supervision space that combines warmth and support, with a commitment to creating a stimulating and reflective environment.
My approach prioritises a safe, welcoming and non-judgmental atmosphere where your individuality and professional journey are valued. I believe that great counselling supervision offers more than just professional development, but also personal growth. After all, for truly transformative work to take place we both need to show up authentically, embrace our shadow and challenge our thinking.
My supervision offering to you
A safe space
Counselling supervision is often entangled with power dynamics and transference issues. I believe we develop better in spaces where we don’t feel shamed or lesser. I offer a judgment-free zone where we can talk about our vulnerabilities and mistakes in a way that feels safe and held.
Processing & reflecting
Processing and reflecting on thoughts and feelings evoked by your client work (anxieties, stuck-ness, frustration, over-attachment or identification etc.), and separating what belongs to you, your client and the dynamics of each relationship in the mix.
Helping you increase your self-confidence and skills, tapping into your strengths, capability and experience. I believe in sharing knowledge, resources, articles, interventions and relevant psychoeducation.
I support supervisees with practical things like your fees, boundary issues around attendance, your website and social media presence, marketing your private practice, and working online safely.
Counselling supervision isn’t only about discussing challenges, but also about celebrating yours and your clients’ growth, small and big wins, and moments of change and transformation.
Collaboration when we don’t have the answers. Gentle questions, brainstorming and working together can help us both reflect and discover new insights about your clients and yourself as a therapist.
Supervision approach, training and fees
I work across multiple modalities, drawing upon theory and practices across the schools in ways that are relevant to your client’s presenting issues and your way of working. I am BACP registered and my work is integrative with Psychodynamic theory at the heart of it, complemented by Humanistic approaches (Gestalt, Person-Centred, Transactional Analysis), and occasionally CBT.
I hold an MSc in Neuroscience and Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching (BACP accredited). I have also completed the Gottman’s Clinical Training in Couples Therapy and multiple other specialist trainings. My clinical supervision training includes:
- Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision using the 7-eyed model.
- Clinical Supervision Mastery Course
- Clinical Supervision: Providing Effective Supervision, Navigating Ethical Issues and Managing Risk
- Culturally Responsive and Trauma-Informed Clinical Supervision
- The Queer 7-Eyed Model of Supervision
